CYCLES / DEGREE CONVERSION <----> CYCLES / CENTIMETER
PURPOSE
In the Preferential Gaze tests, a series of alternating lines of a certain thickness are exposed to the patient.
You can convert cycles (number of lines) that occur in a degree to cycles in a centimeter, for a given distance.
FORMULA
The formula has been used: cycles / degree = (distance / 55) * cycles / cm
The data is reliable for distances greater than 20 centimeters.
USE
Enter the scan distance (essential) and the data you want to convert.
Press calculate.
OUTCOME
The result is displayed for the chosen distance.
You also have a list to consult directly at usual distances.
Indicate that 55 centimeters away the cycles / centimeter = cycles / degree.

CYCLE / GRADE CONVERSION <-----> SNELLEN EQUIVALENT (Visual acuity)
PURPOSE
In the Preferential Gaze tests, a series of alternating lines of a certain thickness are exposed to the patient, in order to obtain the patient's visual acuity.
You can convert cycles (number of lines) that are presented in a degree to their equivalent on the Snellen scale.
Since cycles per centimeter are used in the design, the scan distance must be known to transform to cycles per centimeter.
USE
Enter the scan distance (essential) and the data you want to convert.
Press calculate.
OUTCOME
The result is displayed for the chosen distance.
You also have a list to consult directly on the usual distances and with the usual cycles per cm.
Indicate that 55 centimeters away the cycles / centimeter = cycles / degree.
Ten finds that the data is adjusted.
FORMULA
The formula has been used: Snellen Denominator = 5 * (30 / (cycles / degree))
Cycles / degree = 30 * (5 / Snellen Denominator)
